Here at {nicolethen studio}, we love stories. I love LOVE stories!! Whether it’s the sacrificial love a mom has for her child, the special friendship between sisters, the inspired love of your parents or the love between a couple!

One thing I love about photographing weddings is that at weddings, people take the time to explicitly tell their loved ones how much they love them and cherish to them. But why wait for that special date? Do it today :D

when i’m working at a shoot, there’s this moment that i work towards. that moment when the girl is able to let her inhibitions down and feel beautiful. and when she genuinely feels good and confident and it radiates through the lens and is encapsulated in a photograph - it makes this job so worth while!!

i love it <3 i don’t want to get all corny but i actually get so excited, i have goosebumps and sometimes i choke up with tears inside. i once shared with my friends that i love being a photographer and even more a portrait photographer because it gives me a chance to help girls see their beauty even more! 

and it is the same when capturing two people who are in love. a moment when they are so caught up with expressing their love and who they are that for a split-second, they forget the camera and that moment over flows with love and emotions.
