sometimes we move too quickly and i realized it especially before i sleep. if like me, well you find that you’re literally rushing to sleep, busy all the way till you drift away then here’s a few ways to break away, unwind with calm and appreciate the twilight (not…vampire twilight and stuff ok…haha):

1. slowly browse through a magazine
2. have a chat with a family member
3. make a cup of camomile tea and sip it slowly
4. reflect about the day
5. moisturize yourself to sleep

for a couple of sundays over a course of two and a half months, we’d head out for lunch and then to m+w’s place to prepare for our visit to chiangmai :)

I’m excited to share the new direction, or rather a more defined direction, of where {nicolethen studio} is headed. excited and nervous though! carving out time to plan the year is tough but has to be done to ensure the health of the business and myself too! a healthy business and a happy photographer will definitely create the right experience and environment for everyone in the “studio without walls” ;) hee

remember the story about ken’s proposal? and how he showed me this video slideshow of our photos. my favourite ones of us were the ones that were either taken by selina or rachel who snapped away while we laughed or goofed around - the moments in a moment, because it truly reflected how we are with each other and how we love. 

and that is why i absolutely love shooting couples/engagement sessions. it’s a dedicated time where you’re free to love and hug and laugh and giggle with your loved one whether the person’s your family, a wonderful friend or a special someone. and having it caught in a photograph to keep and to cherish <3

i had a wonderful time at the shoot with sueann and lawrence, who are my junior juniors(!) from Singapore Management University haha. the shoot was a little present to herself to celebrate her twenty first birthday! and of course, one can’t help but notice that sueann just has the most adorable laughter and smile that just makes you think how sweet and beautiful she is! these are the couple shots, but there’s more individual shots too and some behind the scene film photographs coming up too :D
